BOTANICAL NOTES
Moringa is a tree cultivated in all tropical areas. It originates from northern India, in the foothills of the Himalayas and Sri Lanka (Ceylon). This tree can measure up to 10 meters in height, and everything is edible, the roots, the young shoots, the leaves, the flowers, the ripe seeds, the oil extracted from the flowers.
Called “tree of life”, the nutritional richness offered by moringa is exceptional in the plant kingdom. The plant is full of proteins, fibres, minerals and vitamins. Once dried and ground into powder, the moringa leaves provide many proteins and fibres.
AROMATIC NOTES
Moringa has a flavour similar to radish although somewhat bitter and strong in the mouth.
PROPERTIES
Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-aging, anti-diabetes, stimulant (Liver), anti-infective, antifungal.
USES
It is suitable for cooking qualified as energetic, blending with salty or sweet recipes. Ground moringa goes well with salads, rice and vegetables. Preparation of bread, cakes and pasta. Creation of sauces such as mayonnaise and guacamole. For dessert, in cakes, smoothies and chocolate.
